Goldman Sachs Rates Largan a Buy on AI and CPO Market Expansion
Largan Precision has long centered its business on smartphone lenses, leaving its operating momentum heavily dependent on flagship handset specifications and replacement demand. Goldman Sachs said continued handset-lens upgrades, broader adoption of Vision AI and the company’s expansion into optical communications components for AI servers could open new growth avenues beyond smartphones and improve the visibility of its long-term outlook.
On July 20, 2026, Goldman Sachs assigned Largan a “Buy” rating and raised its price target to NT$6,231. The bank said Largan has formally entered the market for FAU lenses used in CPO switches for AI servers. Together with continued upgrades to smartphone specifications, the move could improve its product mix and expand the scope for future earnings growth.
