Collective Launches Insurance Hub for Self-Employed Workers

1 reports · First detected 2026-07-25 · Last active 2026-07-25

The number of self-employed Americans and single-owner businesses has expanded, but insurance remains fragmented from the financial tools they use to run their operations. The US has nearly 30 million nonemployer businesses generating $1.7 trillion in annual receipts, while 77% of small businesses are underinsured and 83% cannot accurately describe their liability coverage. Collective already combines company formation, bookkeeping, payroll and tax services for solopreneurs, making insurance a logical extension of its back-office platform.

Collective announced its Insurance Center on July 22, 2026, offering coverage services to members across all 50 US states. Through Coverdash, users can obtain real-time quotes for general liability and other business insurance, bind coverage within minutes, and manage policies and certificates. Solo Health provides major medical plans designed for self-employed workers, with monthly premiums automatically incorporated into Collective’s payroll and tax calculations. The integrations place business and health coverage inside the same dashboard members use for their broader financial administration.
