TPBank Taps TerraPay for Real-Time Cross-Border Payments
Vietnamese digital bank TPBank has partnered with global money movement company TerraPay to expand its international payment capabilities. The arrangement is significant as banks seek to meet rising demand for faster, more widely accessible outbound transfers while reducing the delays and complexity often associated with correspondent banking and other traditional cross-border payment channels.
Under the partnership, TPBank customers will be able to send real-time outbound cross-border payments to multiple destinations worldwide through TerraPay’s network. The companies did not disclose the agreement date, launch timetable, financial terms, number of covered markets, supported currencies or customer fees. The service’s commercial impact will depend on its eventual geographic reach, pricing and rollout schedule.
