Kalshi Launches Real-Time Market Data Feeds on DoubleZero
Kalshi operates a U.S.-regulated prediction market where contracts track outcomes ranging from sports contests to political and economic events. Fast, dependable order-book data is essential for market makers, algorithmic traders and risk managers, making distribution infrastructure increasingly important as event contracts attract professional investors. The initiative also pushes prediction markets closer to the data standards long used by established futures and securities exchanges.
Kalshi said on Aug. 13, 2026, that it began distributing real-time order-book feeds for two product groups — sports event contracts and cryptocurrency perpetual futures — over DoubleZero’s dedicated fiber network. Kalshi described itself as the first prediction market to distribute live event-contract market data through such infrastructure, aiming to give institutions faster and more consistent access. The companies did not disclose subscription pricing, transaction value or other commercial terms.

The history behind this eventPrediction Market Kalshi Reportedly Plans Regulated Crypto Perpetuals
Kalshi is a designated contract market regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and has primarily offered event contracts tied to politics, economics and other topics. Expanding into crypto perpetuals would take it into a derivatives market dominated by platforms such as Coinbase. Its main selling point is that U.S. retail investors can trade with leverage through a regulated venue.
The latest developments show that the CFTC approved Kalshi’s Bitcoin perpetual contract and Coinbase’s crypto perpetual products on the same day. Kalshi’s product surpassed $1 billion in cumulative trading volume during its first week, making it the fastest-growing product in the platform’s history. The market remains divided, however, over whether such contracts should legally be classified as futures or swaps.
