Ant International Raises $1.2 Billion to Expand Global Payments
Ant International is the Singapore-headquartered global arm of Ant Group, operating independently since a 2024 restructuring. Its four main businesses — Alipay+, Antom, WorldFirst and Bettr — span mobile-wallet interoperability, merchant acquiring, cross-border business accounts and embedded finance. The fundraising gives the company fresh capital to compete in a crowded global payments market while building AI-powered tools for merchants, treasury management and credit.
On July 21, 2026, Ant International said it had closed approximately $1.2 billion in Series A equity financing. Existing investors Ant Group and Alibaba Group joined the round alongside other international investment institutions; the company did not disclose individual commitments or its post-money valuation. Proceeds will support expansion in global merchant payments, cross-border account services and financial technology, including AI-driven payment, treasury and credit products and agentic commerce solutions for businesses operating across markets.
