Tonkeeper Rebrands as Keeper, Expands to Seven Blockchains
Tonkeeper began as a self-custodial wallet built for TON, the blockchain closely linked to Telegram, and says it has more than 77 million registered users. The shift to Keeper reflects a broader ambition: serving customers who hold assets across multiple chains instead of centering the product on a single ecosystem. The expansion also places Keeper more directly against established multichain wallets competing to become users’ main gateway for holding, trading and spending digital assets.
The company announced the rebrand on Sept. 15, 2026, adding Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum and Base alongside TON for a total of seven supported networks. Existing accounts, balances, private keys and recovery phrases remain unchanged. The Open Platform, which took operational control in August, plans over the next year to extend its Battery fee-abstraction system across all supported chains and add native DeFi services, cross-chain swaps, everyday spending tools, a decentralized-app browser and perpetual futures.
