Franklin Templeton, HashKey Launch Tokenized Money Fund in Asia
Franklin Templeton has partnered with crypto financial services group HashKey to expand access to a U.S. government money market fund through blockchain-based distribution in Asia. Tokenized funds record investor interests onchain, combining a conventional cash-management product with digital-asset infrastructure. The tie-up underscores growing institutional adoption of real-world asset tokenization and brings an established global asset manager’s product closer to Asian crypto investors.
The Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund is now available through the Earn channel on HashKey’s platform, the companies said. The offering gives eligible users in Asia access to a tokenized fund focused on U.S. government securities and liquidity instruments. The announcements did not disclose the partnership’s value, fundraising target, assets committed through HashKey or a specific launch date, leaving the platform rollout as the principal confirmed development.
