Securitize, Computershare Partner to Advance U.S. Stock Tokenization
U.S. stock tokenization has largely involved onchain tokens representing existing securities, while issuer records and shareholder rights remain dependent on traditional systems. BlackRock-backed Securitize has helped issue the roughly $2.5 billion BUIDL fund. Its integration with major transfer agent Computershare could bring blockchain-based shareholdings directly into compliant shareholder-record infrastructure and advance the RWA market.
On April 29, 2026, Securitize and Computershare announced a partnership enabling U.S.-listed companies to issue tokenized shares with the same rights and economic benefits as their traditional stock. Computershare, which serves more than half of S&P 500 companies, will act as transfer agent while preserving existing market and regulatory frameworks, paving the way for assets in the roughly $70 trillion U.S. stock market to move onchain.

Securitize, a tokenization infrastructure company backed by BlackRock and ARK Invest, helps major asset managers convert traditional investment products such as funds into blockchain-based tokens. Its listing plans are closely watched because they will test whether tokenized securities can move beyond financial experimentation and into mainstream capital markets.
As of July 20, 2026, Securitize was planning to raise $400 million before going public and was nearing its public-market debut.
