Ctrl Alt Secures MiFID License to Launch Tokenized Services Across Europe
Founded in 2022, Ctrl Alt provides end-to-end tokenization infrastructure for alternative assets, working with regulated financial institutions, governments and corporate partners from origination and structuring through issuance and distribution. Authorization under the EU’s Markets in Financial Instruments Directive is significant because it brings tokenized securities activities inside an established investment-services framework. Approval in Ireland also allows the company to passport regulated services across the European Economic Area, giving it a route to serve institutions, asset managers and capital allocators beyond a single national market.
Ctrl Alt said on July 21, 2026, that Ctrl Alt Technologies Limited had received MiFID II authorization from the Central Bank of Ireland, permitting regulated investment services and securities business in Ireland and across the EEA; FinTech Futures reported the move on July 23. The company said it had tokenized more than $1.6 billion of assets as of July 2026. The approval adds to direct authorization from the UK Financial Conduct Authority and a Dubai VARA license covering Broker-Dealer and Issuer services, the latter held since May 24, 2025.
