Ayar Labs Joins NVIDIA NVLink Fusion Ecosystem to Bring CPO to AI Infrastructure
As AI models continue to grow, the large number of GPU interconnections within racks faces constraints in bandwidth, latency and power consumption. Ayar Labs specializes in co-packaged optics (CPO). Its entry into the NVIDIA NVLink Fusion ecosystem is significant because optical interconnects can support heterogeneous computing and rack-scale expansion in NVIDIA AI factories.
Ayar Labs recently announced that it will integrate its CPO technology into the NVLink Fusion architecture, helping customers improve data transmission and energy efficiency in large-scale GPU deployments. As of July 20, 2026, Ayar Labs and NVIDIA had not disclosed the value of the partnership, a formal commercial launch date or the first customers. A mass-production timetable also remains undisclosed.
