Nasdaq Calypso to Power Shared Treasury Platform for Georgian Banks
Georgia is seeking to modernize the infrastructure underpinning treasury trading and financial-market supervision, while avoiding the cost and complexity of separate systems at individual banks. The shared model, backed by the National Bank of Georgia, will give participating lenders standardized workflows and market data while keeping each institution’s information segregated. It should also improve regulatory visibility into liquidity, treasury exposures and systemic risk.
Nasdaq said on July 20, 2026, that Bank of Georgia, TBC Bank, Liberty Bank, Terabank and Basisbank will adopt Nasdaq Calypso through a centrally deployed platform. The system will cover the full trade lifecycle, from deal capture and pricing to risk management, compliance, settlement, accounting and reporting. The project is part of the Georgian Market Advancement Program, with project-management funding from the Japan–EBRD Cooperation Fund. Financial terms and an implementation timetable were not disclosed.

The history behind this eventGeorgia’s Five Largest Banks Adopt Nasdaq Calypso for Treasury Overhaul
The National Bank of Georgia is seeking to modernize the country’s treasury and financial-markets infrastructure as banks face more complex liquidity, risk and regulatory demands. Nasdaq Calypso provides a single front-to-back system covering trade capture and pricing, risk and compliance, settlement, accounting and reporting. A shared framework could replace fragmented point solutions, reduce reconciliation work and provide participating lenders and supervisors with more consistent workflows, data and audit controls.
Nasdaq said on July 20, 2026, that Bank of Georgia, TBC Bank, Liberty Bank, Terabank and Basisbank will adopt Calypso through a centrally installed, shared instance. Each lender will operate as a separate entity with fully segregated data and configurations tailored to its business and risk profile, while sharing market data, reporting standards and governance. The initiative is part of the Georgian Market Advancement Program and coordinated with the Georgian Financial Markets Treasuries’ Association. Japan is financing project management through the Japan–EBRD Cooperation Fund; no total deal value was disclosed.
