Lobster.cash, Mastercard Partner on AI Agent Payment Solution
Lobster.cash is AI agent payment infrastructure developed by Crossmint. It allows users to set an amount, merchant, timing and payment method before authorizing an agent to make purchases autonomously. The partnership brings Mastercard’s existing card network, issuer controls and consumer protections into agentic commerce, lowering the barriers associated with handing over card details directly or creating a new wallet.
Crossmint and Mastercard announced the integration of Agent Pay and Verifiable Intent on April 16, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed. The service initially opened for testing on OpenClaw, which has deployed more than 1 million agents across more than 20 messaging platforms. It will later expand to Claude Code and Devin.
