Bitfarms to Liquidate Bitcoin Holdings, Rebrand as Keel Infrastructure in Full Pivot to AI Computing

2 reports · First detected 2026-04-01 · Last active 2026-05-19

Bitfarms, formerly focused on Bitcoin mining, is repurposing its existing power, server-room and data-center assets for AI infrastructure and high-performance computing (HPC). As demand for AI computing capacity rises, the pivot reflects crypto miners’ efforts to secure less volatile revenue through longer-term contracts.

Bitfarms said it would liquidate all Bitcoin held on its balance sheet and formally change its name to Keel Infrastructure as it shifts fully into the AI computing market. The company did not disclose the amount of Bitcoin to be sold or the value of the disposal. Keel expects to generate meaningful AI business revenue in 2027, while news of the transition sent its shares up 75%.
