AI and Advanced Chipmaking Drive Optimism for Taiwan Stocks in Second Half
The expansion of AI data centers is boosting demand for high-performance computing chips, advanced packaging and agentic AI, putting Taiwan’s semiconductor supply chain in the spotlight for investors. Capital Investment Management believes TSMC’s mass production of 2-nanometer chips offers both a technological lead and pricing power, providing a key pillar for Taiwan stocks to challenge record highs.
In its outlook for the second half of 2026, Capital Investment Management said the Taiwan stock market could reach 53,000 points. The launch of NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform and cloud service providers’ expansion of in-house ASIC development could help the global semiconductor industry achieve its revenue target ahead of schedule. AI infrastructure and advanced-process stocks will remain the core themes for long-term investment.
