Solana Launches SDP for Enterprise Finance Development
Companies and financial institutions adopting public blockchains often must integrate custody, compliance, payments and liquidity tools themselves, creating significant development and operational hurdles. The Solana Foundation has bundled this infrastructure into a unified API, enabling businesses to issue stablecoins, tokenized deposits and RWAs on Solana and build cross-border payment and onchain foreign-exchange products.
The Solana Foundation launched the Solana Developer Platform (SDP) on March 24, 2026, connecting more than 20 infrastructure providers. Its issuance and payments modules are already live, while the trading module is expected later in 2026. Mastercard, Western Union and Worldpay are early users. The foundation did not disclose any investment or transaction amounts.
