Robinhood Executive Says Tokenization and 24/7 Trading Are Fueling Global Demand for U.S. Stocks
Robinhood is a U.S. online brokerage and crypto trading platform. As overseas investors pursue U.S. AI-related stocks, access to traditional U.S. equities remains constrained by trading hours, cross-border account-opening requirements, and settlement times. Asset tokenization could bring equity interests onto blockchains, broaden global investment access, and improve capital efficiency.
Robinhood crypto chief Johann Kerbrat said at Consensus 2026 that overseas demand for U.S. equities continued to grow, with AI-related stocks drawing particular interest. He advocated combining asset tokenization with real-time settlement to enable trading 24 hours a day, seven days a week. No figures were disclosed for the scale of demand or investment amounts.
