Truist Advances Agentic AI Vision and Digital Transformation
Truist Bank has continued integrating its core systems and digital services since completing its merger in 2019. Chief Information Officer Steve Hagerman’s vision for agentic AI calls for AI agents to execute multistep tasks autonomously, further improving operational efficiency, risk management and the customer experience.
Hagerman recently said Truist is deploying AI agents to handle automated work as part of its bankwide digital transformation. The bank deployed more than 50 AI use cases in 2025, spanning fraud prevention and digital engagement. It has not disclosed the related investment or a date for full deployment.
