AI Server Boom Fuels Silicon Photonics Demand as Brokerage Raises LandMark Target to NT$3,165
NVIDIA's push to expand AI servers and data centers is driving demand for faster data transmission and upgrades to silicon photonics, indium phosphide (InP) epitaxial wafers and continuous-wave lasers. LandMark Optoelectronics is positioned in optical connectivity and co-packaged optics (CPO), making it a key beneficiary of the shift toward advanced optical communications standards.
TechNews reported on April 17, 2026, that an unnamed foreign brokerage had reiterated its “buy” rating on LandMark and raised its price target to NT$3,165. The report increased its forecast for the 2027 AI server rack market to 77,000 units from 67,000 and said the market could reach 121,000 units in 2028. It also forecast a 14% to 33% increase in shipments of 800G-and-above optical modules.
