JPMorgan Asset Management Debuts Taiwan Equity Active ETF 00401A With Covered-Call Strategy

JPMorgan Asset Management is returning to Taiwan's equity market after a 16-year absence with its first active ETF, JPMorgan Taiwan Premium Income Active ETF (00401A). The fund combines active stock selection with a covered-call strategy, seeking to capture the growth potential of Taiwan equities while generating cash flow and reducing the need for investors to choose between capital gains and income distributions.

JPMorgan Asset Management said subscriptions for 00401A will open on March 23. About 65% of its equity holdings are expected to be allocated to technology sectors including AI supply chains in Taiwan and the United States. The management team will systematically sell call options and collect premiums to generate income. The product is billed as Taiwan's first active ETF to use a covered-call strategy.
