NVIDIA Upgrades AI Rendering and RTX 50 Performance With DLSS 4.5
NVIDIA's DLSS is a neural rendering technology that uses AI to improve gaming image quality and frame rates. DLSS 4 introduced Transformer-based super resolution and 4X Multi Frame Generation in January 2025. DLSS 4.5 adds a second-generation model to improve clarity and stability, with a focus on high-refresh-rate gaming on the RTX 50 series.
NVIDIA released the full DLSS 4.5 feature set through the NVIDIA App on March 31, 2026. GeForce RTX 50 series users can enable Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and a mode of up to 6X, generating five additional frames for every natively rendered frame. NVIDIA said the technology can boost frame rates by up to 35% in path-traced games at 4K and requires GeForce Game Ready Driver 595.97 WHQL or later.
