AdvancedMD Deploys AI to Cut Physician Admin Work, Speed Revenue Recovery
AdvancedMD, a healthcare software platform, is applying artificial intelligence to clinical documentation, insurance claims and billing workflows. The effort targets physician “pajama time,” an industry term for completing medical records after regular working hours. Automating routine administrative tasks could give clinicians more time for patient care while reducing delays that can slow reimbursements and strain a medical practice’s cash flow.
AdvancedMD’s latest tools use AI transcription and documentation automation to turn clinical conversations into draft records and assist with claims and billing. Clinicians retain responsibility for reviewing and approving the output before it enters the medical record or revenue cycle. The company said the system can shorten documentation work and improve revenue recovery, but the report did not disclose launch dates, adoption figures, hours saved, revenue gains or financial terms.
