Alpaca Raises $135 Million to Build Tokenization and AI Infrastructure
Brokerage infrastructure provider Alpaca is working to bridge traditional finance and decentralized finance. As global financial markets accelerate their shift toward digital and onchain assets, financial institutions increasingly need compliant tokenized securities and infrastructure for agentic AI. Advances in these technologies could become a critical link in the deeper integration of traditional finance and the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
Alpaca announced in July 2026 that it had secured $135 million in equity financing and up to $300 million in debt backing. The funds will accelerate development of the underlying infrastructure for tokenized stocks and agentic AI. The company plans to use the new capital to meet global financial institutions’ demand for regulated onchain infrastructure and continue expanding its share of cryptocurrency and securities brokerage markets worldwide.
