As Taiwan becomes a super-aged society, longevity risk and inadequate retirement savings are increasing older people's need for cash flow. First Bank's reverse mortgage program allows seniors to use their homes as collateral and receive monthly payments, unlocking property value without requiring them to move and supporting aging in place and retirement needs.
As of March 31, 2026, First Bank had approved more than NT$10 billion in reverse mortgages.
