Keyrock CEO Says Bitcoin Is Undervalued, Sees 2026 as Key Transition Year for Tokenized Assets
Keyrock, a crypto market maker connecting banks, asset managers, issuers and exchanges, argues that traditional finance is steadily moving onchain. CEO and co-founder Kevin de Patoul said Bitcoin continues to be priced as a risk asset despite heightened macroeconomic uncertainty and progress in regulation and institutional adoption, leaving its structural value underappreciated.
When CoinDesk published the interview on March 4, 2026, Bitcoin was trading at $73,000, down 18% year to date and below its record high of about $125,000 in early October 2025. De Patoul described 2026 as a transition year, predicting that infrastructure for stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets will gradually mature. He said the RWA market could match or surpass the previous crypto market peak in 2027–2028.
