Ryan Li Wins Paradigm Prediction-Market Hackathon With Help From Claude Code AI Agents
Paradigm’s prediction-market hackathon challenged participants to use models and trading strategies to tackle highly structured market problems. SurfAI CEO Ryan Li deployed AI agents including Claude Code, creating an automated workflow for strategy generation, testing and validation. The result suggests that Agentic AI can use large-scale trial and error to supplement or even surpass the modeling experience of human experts.
The latest results show that Li’s AI agents automatically generated and validated more than 1,000 strategies, ultimately winning the Paradigm challenge. Li admitted that he had “no idea how I won,” underscoring that the outcome was driven primarily by the agent system’s search and filtering capabilities. Existing reports did not disclose the event’s exact date, prize amount or complete scoring data.
