The history behind this eventHOYA BIT Wins Asia FinTech ESG Award in Taiwan First
The Asia FinTech Awards recognize innovation and industry impact across financial technology, with ESG categories assessing how companies embed environmental, social and governance practices into operations. For digital-asset platforms still working to strengthen regulatory credibility and public trust, recognition for sustainability governance can support institutional relationships and signal that competition is expanding beyond trading products, liquidity and fees to include accountability and corporate responsibility.
Taiwan cryptocurrency exchange HOYA BIT won the “Best ESG Campaign” award on its first entry into the Asia FinTech Awards, becoming the first Taiwanese crypto exchange to receive the distinction. Judges highlighted the company’s greenhouse-gas inventory work, carbon-neutrality efforts and third-party verification. The report did not specify the award ceremony’s date, and organizers disclosed no monetary prize, but the recognition marks a notable ESG milestone for Taiwan’s digital-asset sector.
HOYA BIT Showcases Taiwan’s First Crypto-Trading AI Agent
Cryptocurrency exchanges are testing conversational AI as a new trading interface for a market that runs around the clock and can be difficult for newcomers to navigate. Taiwan-based HOYA BIT launched AI Jinbao on April 13, 2026, calling it Taiwan’s first crypto-trading AI agent. The system lets users request market data and portfolio information in natural language, then execute trades in bitcoin and other virtual assets after confirmation. HOYA BIT says the design reduces page switching while leaving investment decisions with the user.
Founder Zoe Peng presented AI Jinbao’s deployment at AWS Summit Taipei, held on July 15-16, 2026, before an audience of about 1,000. Its first release combines six areas: deposit guidance, live quotes, portfolio overviews, spot conversion and recurring purchases, yield-product functions, and order inquiries. HOYA BIT is also adopting Amazon Bedrock AgentCore to support deployment, tool integration, access controls, security and execution monitoring. The collaboration with Amazon Web Services is intended to move the product from a standalone assistant toward a scalable, enterprise-grade multi-agent platform.
