QuFi Launches Post-Quantum Platform With Bitcoin Testnet Proof

2 reports · First detected 2026-09-05 · Last active 2026-09-05

Bitcoin and most other blockchains rely on elliptic-curve digital signatures to establish ownership and authorize transactions, a security model that sufficiently powerful quantum computers could eventually undermine. QuFi Network’s approach separates verification from settlement: decentralized nodes validate instructions using post-quantum cryptography and pass compact proofs to existing blockchains, allowing networks to add quantum-resistant safeguards without changing their underlying protocols.

QuFi Network launched the QuFi Platform on Sept. 4, 2026, using a hybrid architecture built on the NIST-standardized ML-DSA-65, SLH-DSA and ML-KEM-1024 algorithms. Its uBTC proof of concept is operating on Bitcoin Testnet4 and demonstrated the lifecycle of a synthetic Bitcoin unit through minting, transfer, burning and redemption. The final redemption settled as a conventional Bitcoin transaction, showing that the added verification layer can work without a Bitcoin protocol upgrade.

Postquant Labs Unveils Quip Network Quantum-Safe Bitcoin Wallet2026-04-28 · 1 reports · similarity 0.81

Bitcoin's current elliptic-curve signatures could eventually be broken by quantum computers. Once a transaction reveals a public key, assets could be exposed to attack before confirmation. The community is discussing upgrade proposals including BIP-361, but soft or hard forks require broad consensus and often take years to implement. That gives practical value to protections that do not require changes to the base protocol.

Postquant Labs announced Quip Network on April 28, 2026. It adds WOTS+ post-quantum signatures through Arch Network's smart contract layer without using wrapped tokens or requiring a Bitcoin fork. The company said it could reduce the attack window to about two blocks, or roughly 20 minutes. The wallet app was expected to launch the following week. No price or fundraising amount was disclosed, and a third-party audit had yet to be completed.
