Elon Musk-founded SpaceX, whose core businesses span rocket launches and the Starlink satellite network, is preparing to list on Nasdaq in what could be the largest IPO on record. Polymarket, Ventuals and trade.xyz allow investors to wager on the listing’s performance through onchain derivatives, beginning to supplement the price-discovery role of traditional underwriting.

Allium data on June 11 showed onchain estimates of SpaceX’s valuation clustering between $1.8 trillion and $2.1 trillion. Polymarket put the probability of its valuation exceeding $2 trillion at the end of the first trading day at 64%. After the IPO was priced at $135 a share on June 12, valuing SpaceX at $1.77 trillion, IG International derivatives implied a valuation of about $2.4 trillion.

SpaceX Formally Lists on Nasdaq in Record $1.77 Trillion IPO2026-06-16 · 8 reports · similarity 0.82

SpaceX built its lofty valuation through rocket launches, the Starlink satellite network and US aerospace contracts, and holds about $1.3 billion in bitcoin. Its Nasdaq listing gives investors their first opportunity to invest directly in Elon Musk’s space business. The scale of the offering could also reshape capital allocation across technology stocks and the space industry.

SpaceX began trading under the ticker SPCX on July 12 at a valuation of about $1.77 trillion, setting a global IPO record. Its average premarket price was about $174, and the shares surged 20% on their first day, briefly pushing its market capitalization above $2 trillion. Investors are now watching for the launch of options trading, potential fast-track admission to the Nasdaq-100, the company’s first earnings report and the expiration of its lock-up period.
