Securitize Names Former SEC Official Brett Redfearn President
Securitize is a real-world asset tokenization platform offering securities issuance, compliance management and secondary-market trading services. As assets such as funds and bonds move onto blockchains, regulatory expertise has become critical for firms seeking to connect with traditional capital markets and expand institutional adoption.
Securitize announced in July 2026 that Brett Redfearn, a former director of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Trading and Markets and a former Coinbase senior executive, had been appointed president and a member of its board. The company did not disclose his compensation. He will help expand the issuance and trading of tokenized assets and prepare for a public listing by the end of 2026.
