Mega Financial Posts Record 2025 Profit, Targets Tech-Enabled Fraud Prevention and Wealth Management
Mega Financial Holding, whose core business is Mega International Commercial Bank, operates across banking, securities and insurance. As financial fraud rises and Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission advances its Asian Asset Management Center policy, technology-enabled fraud prevention and wealth management for high-net-worth clients have become key growth priorities. Mega Financial reported 2025 net profit of NT$35.038 billion, setting a record for a second consecutive year and drawing greater attention to its expansion into new businesses.
After releasing its full-year 2025 results, Chairman David Ruay-Bin Tung identified “Fraud Prevention 2.0” and wealth management for high-net-worth clients as operating priorities for 2026. Mega Bank has introduced ATM facial recognition, transaction cooling-off periods and digital authentication, while expanding its asset management business in line with FSC policy. The company also disclosed about NT$50 billion in Middle East exposure and assessed the overall impact as limited.
