Mastercard and Fusheng Digital Sign MOU to Advance Virtual-Asset Innovation and Payments in Taiwan
Fusheng Digital, a wholly owned subsidiary of Taiwan Mobile, operates the Taiwan Mobile Virtual Asset Exchange (TWEX). Mastercard brings its global payments network and technologies including Crypto Credential and the Multi-Token Network. The partnership will focus on linking virtual-asset trading, identity verification and bank payments while reducing risks in on-chain transfers, with regulatory compliance, consumer protection and fraud prevention as prerequisites.
Mastercard and Fusheng Digital announced the memorandum of understanding on March 16, 2026, without disclosing an investment amount or service launch date. They will explore three areas: using Crypto Credential to simplify wallet addresses and improve on-chain transfers, connecting virtual assets with bank accounts, and strengthening digital-asset trading and settlement infrastructure. The work could extend to everyday payments and cryptocurrency deposit and withdrawal services.
