Ripple Expands GSmart AI Across Enterprise Treasury Platform

2 reports · First detected 2026-09-11 · Last active 2026-09-11

Ripple moved into corporate treasury through its $1 billion acquisition of GTreasury, announced in October 2025 and completed later that year. The business, now branded Ripple Treasury, combines an established treasury management system with Ripple’s digital-asset infrastructure. GSmart serves as a treasury-specific AI layer, applying automation and analysis to forecasting, liquidity and risk while retaining the governance, audit trails and human approvals required in corporate finance.

On Sept. 10, 2026, Ripple announced a major expansion of GSmart across forecasting, liquidity, risk, reconciliation and reporting. The release adds orchestrated agents that cite relevant policy clauses before proposing actions, Knowledge Studio for organizational controls, and Analytics Studio with the Ask GSmart assistant. The tools are already running in production: 60% of eligible customers have enabled Risk Insights, while 44% use Forecast Insights. Ripple disclosed no separate price or investment amount for the expansion.

Corporate treasury teams have traditionally managed bank cash and digital assets held with custodians in separate systems, relying on spreadsheets and manual reconciliation. Ripple acquired GTreasury, which has more than 40 years of experience, for $1 billion on October 16, 2025. Its clients process more than $12 trillion in payments annually, and the integration marked an important step in Ripple’s expansion into treasury management for large enterprises.

On April 1, 2026, Ripple Treasury launched two native features, Digital Asset Accounts and Unified Treasury. They allow chief financial officers to view, hold and manage fiat currencies, XRP and RLUSD across banks and custodians through a single interface, reducing the need to open external accounts and perform manual reconciliation. Ripple said stablecoin transaction volume reached $33 trillion in 2025, up 72% year on year.
