Bybit Pay Joins Mesh Network to Expand Crypto Payments
Mesh, founded in 2020, operates a crypto payments network linking more than 300 wallets, exchanges and financial-services platforms. The infrastructure is designed to let digital assets move between services without the manual withdrawals and conversions that often hinder everyday use. In January, Mesh raised $75 million in a Dragonfly-led Series C at a $1 billion valuation, taking its total funding above $200 million as it targeted expansion in Latin America, Asia and Europe.
Bybit said on Sept. 3, 2026, that Bybit Pay had integrated with Mesh, giving its claimed 80 million users direct access to their exchange balances when paying or funding accounts on Mesh-powered platforms. Customers can select Bybit Pay at checkout without first withdrawing, converting or transferring assets. Businesses already connected to Mesh can add the option through their existing integration, reach Bybit’s global user base and use programmable settlement settings to control how and when funds are settled across markets.

The history behind this eventBybit Pay Enters South African Payments Market Through MoneyBadger Integration
South Africa has about 5.8 million crypto-asset holders, representing 9.44% of the population, and 52% of them have used cryptocurrency for purchases. Connecting investment assets to everyday retail spending is therefore a significant step. Bybit is working with MoneyBadger, a local payment integrator founded in 2022, to reduce the barriers for merchants that would otherwise need to build their own integrations and hold crypto assets.
Bybit announced the MoneyBadger integration on April 28, 2026, allowing users to pay with more than 20 assets, including Bitcoin and stablecoins. The service covers more than 650,000 Scan to Pay locations, over 31,000 Zapper locations and more than 1,500 Pick n Pay stores. Transactions are limited to $0.06–$2,500 and typically take 10–15 seconds, while merchants receive South African rand to reduce their exposure to cryptocurrency price volatility.
