Progmat Completes ¥45.2 Billion Securities-Token Migration to Avalanche
Japanese digital-asset leader Progmat was founded by financial heavyweights including Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking. The asset migration is significant because it breaks with traditional finance’s reliance on private blockchains in favor of EVM-compatible public-chain technology. It brings institutional-grade financial assets into a more open ecosystem and paves the way for Japan’s security token offerings to connect with global decentralized finance and offshore institutions.
Progmat formally completed the major project, named Keystone, on July 10, 2026, successfully migrating ¥45.2 billion of tokenized securities from the private Corda 5 blockchain to the public Avalanche L1. The infrastructure upgrade increased the platform’s transaction-processing speed by three to five times and reduced transaction finality to less than two seconds, significantly improving efficiency.
