Pineapple Moves $1 Billion of Mortgage Records Onto Injective
Pineapple Financial, a Canadian mortgage technology company listed on NYSE American, is moving funded residential loan files onto Injective, a layer-1 blockchain. The project creates a metadata-rich digital counterpart for each mortgage rather than issuing a new mortgage-backed security. That structure is intended to make loan-level information, provenance and update histories verifiable onchain, improving audit trails and giving analysts a standardized dataset for monitoring credit and portfolio risk.
Injective said on Sept. 4, 2026, that Pineapple had migrated more than $1 billion of mortgage records, covering 2,079 loans, up from 1,259 when the platform launched in December 2025. Pineapple ultimately plans to place more than 29,000 funded mortgages, worth over $10 billion, onchain. Each record contains more than 500 data points, while PAPL0, the token associated with the records, has an asset market capitalization of about $1.1 billion.
