AI Demand Drives 29.4% Surge in DRAM Industry Revenue in Q4 2025
Generative AI workloads are expanding from large language model (LLM) training into inference services, prompting data centers to accelerate purchases of high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and server DRAM. TrendForce said suppliers are shifting advanced production capacity toward HBM, constraining conventional DRAM supply and pushing up both contract prices and industry revenue.
Global DRAM industry revenue reached $53.58 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025, up 29.4% from the previous quarter, according to TrendForce. Benefiting from higher contract prices and an expanding HBM business, Samsung’s revenue share rebounded to 36.0%, overtaking its rivals and reclaiming the global lead. The result shows that AI demand and price increases have directly reshaped the ranking of major suppliers.
