Anthropic Launches Reflect to Help Users Review AI Use
As generative artificial intelligence becomes deeply embedded in daily life, concerns are growing about excessive reliance on AI and its effects on digital well-being. Against this backdrop, U.S. AI startup Anthropic has introduced a tool designed to help users reflect on the boundaries of human-AI interaction. The initiative marks the AI industry's first application of the digital well-being concept to a large language model and establishes a new product-design benchmark for the responsible development of AI assistants and the management of user well-being.
Anthropic launched Reflect, a new beta feature built into Claude, in July 2026. Available to Free, Pro and Max users, the feature can review up to 12 months of conversation data and analyze interaction patterns using the 4D AI Fluency Framework. It also includes quiet hours, break reminders and reflection prompts to encourage users to actively protect their digital well-being and maintain appropriate boundaries in their interactions with AI.
