Taiwan’s 13 Financial Holding Companies Set Record NT$342.2 Billion in Cash Dividends
Taiwan’s 13 financial holding companies began announcing their 2025 dividend policies after benefiting from strong earnings momentum in 2024. As new standards including IFRS 17 affect capital and profit distributions, firms such as CTBC Financial, Fubon Financial and KGI Financial have adjusted their payout strategies. Several have switched to all-cash dividends, making their policies an important gauge of shareholder returns and capital management.
By the end of 2025, all 13 financial holding companies in Taiwan had unveiled their dividend plans. They were expected to pay a combined NT$342.2 billion in cash dividends, an all-time high. Nine, including CTBC Financial, Fubon Financial and KGI Financial, offered cash dividend yields above 4%, reflecting how earnings growth in 2024 translated into higher cash returns.
