State Street Plans Tokenized Fund Service by Year-End in RWA Push
State Street, one of the world’s largest asset custodians and fund service providers, is moving into tokenized funds as traditional financial institutions accelerate their adoption of real-world assets, or RWAs, on blockchain networks. The service will connect blockchain technology with its existing custody system, allowing institutional investors to manage traditional and digital assets within a single framework.
State Street plans to launch the tokenized fund service first in Luxembourg by the end of this year, using its proprietary digital asset platform to provide the infrastructure. It has not disclosed the fund’s size, the investment amount or an exact launch date. Luxembourg will be the first market for the service, which could later expand to other financial centers.
