Amazon Pharmacy Partners With Solv on Faster Drug Delivery
Amazon Pharmacy, the online pharmacy business operated by Amazon, is partnering with healthcare artificial intelligence platform Solv to connect medical appointments more closely with prescription fulfillment. The integration is aimed at reducing the friction patients face after a clinician issues a prescription, while expanding Amazon’s role in the digital pathway between seeking care and obtaining medication.
The companies said Amazon Pharmacy delivery options will be embedded in Solv’s online appointment-booking process. Patients will be able to view real-time delivery information while scheduling a visit and determine whether same-day service is available, potentially eliminating a separate search for a pharmacy. Amazon Pharmacy and Solv did not disclose financial terms, a launch date or the geographic coverage of the service.
