First Commercial Bank Is First State-Controlled Bank to Offer Online Supplementary Card Applications
First Commercial Bank’s iLEO credit card targets digital spending and household card use. The bank has become the first among Taiwan’s state-controlled banks to allow supplementary card applications to be completed entirely online, reducing paperwork and branch visits. The service also links primary and supplementary cards with mobile payments and public transportation, reflecting state-controlled banks’ accelerating efforts to attract younger customers and capture frequent everyday spending.
First Commercial Bank announced the new service on June 30, 2026. From July 1 through December 31, first-time applicants for an iLEO supplementary card can receive 10% cashback on purchases at momo, Shopee, Coupang, Klook and KKday within 90 days of approval, capped at NT$200 per card. Combined with an additional online-shopping promotion, cashback can reach as high as 18%. Contactless fares paid with a primary or supplementary card on metro and light-rail systems across Taiwan are eligible for cashback of up to 10%.
