Claude Expands Connectors to Everyday Apps in Bid to Become an All-Purpose AI Assistant
Anthropic launched the Claude Connectors Directory in July 2025, allowing the model to connect to external services, retrieve information and carry out tasks within conversations. The directory later expanded to more than 200 integrations across design, finance, productivity and health. Its move into consumer services marks Claude’s evolution from a workplace chatbot into an AI agent capable of coordinating across multiple apps.
On April 23, 2026, Anthropic added connectors for 15 everyday apps, including Uber, Uber Eats, Spotify, Booking.com, Instacart, TurboTax, Resy and Tripadvisor. They can help users hail rides, order food, plan trips and file taxes. Financial terms of the partnerships were not disclosed. The features are available on all plans, although the mobile version remains in beta, and Claude will seek user confirmation before making a reservation or payment.
