The history behind this eventSamsung Unveils Google-Powered AI Glasses Ahead of Fall Launch
Samsung Electronics’ AI smart glasses, developed with Google, mark a deeper push by the partners to bring generative AI into wearable devices. The project also puts Samsung in more direct competition with Meta Platforms in an emerging category built around hands-free cameras and digital assistance, while drawing investor attention to optical-component suppliers including Taiwan’s Largan Precision and GIS-KY.
Samsung has now shown the glasses in physical form for the first time, revealing two new frame designs and battery life of as long as nine hours. The devices are scheduled to go on sale in fall 2026.
