Nvidia’s Rubin Ultra, its next-generation AI computing platform, is expected to raise server interconnect speeds, increasing demand for circuit-board materials that can preserve signal integrity. The market is focusing on a potential shift to a glass-fabric-free design using polytetrafluoroethylene, or PTFE, which offers low dielectric loss at high frequencies. Such a change could reshape demand across the copper-clad laminate and printed circuit board supply chain.

Reports say Nvidia is evaluating PTFE-based glass-fabric-free technology for Rubin Ultra, though it has not confirmed a final material choice, named suppliers, a contract value or a production date. The speculation has nevertheless triggered a rally in Taiwan-listed materials shares. Taiflex Scientific hit the daily limit-up for three consecutive sessions, while other CCL and PCB-related stocks advanced as investors positioned for possible orders tied to the platform.
