Greater Southern Taiwan AI Smart Healthcare Exhibition Opens With More Than 120 Applications

Taiwan’s Executive Yuan is advancing its “AI Island” policy by deploying AI in smart healthcare, long-term care and health management to address an aging population and shortages of medical personnel. The Greater Southern Taiwan AI Smart Healthcare Exhibition brings together more than 100 organizations from government, industry, academia and research, aiming to accelerate real-world adoption and build a smart healthcare industry cluster in southern Taiwan.

The exhibition opened recently, with Premier Cho Jung-tai attending and reaffirming the government’s commitment to developing the AI industry. More than 120 AI healthcare applications are on display, including privacy-preserving, de-identified AI image recognition and a precision frailty-prevention system for older adults’ health management.
