Octave Taps Cytora AI to Speed MGA Launches
Managing general agents, or MGAs, underwrite and distribute specialized insurance products under authority delegated by carriers, allowing them to respond quickly to niche risks. Their launches can still be slowed by unstructured submissions, manual data entry and fragmented underwriting systems. Octave Specialty Group’s adoption of Cytora underscores the specialty market’s growing use of AI to shorten setup times, improve risk selection and scale operations.
Octave has entered a strategic partnership to deploy Cytora’s AI-powered risk processing platform across the launch workflow for new MGA businesses. The technology will digitize incoming information, automate workflows and support risk assessment, giving underwriting teams faster access to decision-ready data. As of Aug. 6, 2026, the companies had not disclosed the value of the agreement or provided a detailed implementation timetable.
