GE Appliances Deploys 800-Plus Gemini AI Agents Across Operations

1 reports · First detected 2026-09-04 · Last active 2026-09-04

GE Appliances, the U.S. appliance maker owned by Haier, has been building its “Brilliant Factory” data platform to connect production, parts and workforce information across plants and shifts. Extending generative AI into that system matters because it moves agentic tools beyond office pilots: factory and logistics employees can query operating data directly, review shifts faster and identify quality or equipment issues without waiting for data specialists.

At Google Cloud Next ’26 in Las Vegas on April 22, 2026, GE Appliances said it had deployed more than 800 AI agents using Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise across manufacturing, logistics and supply-chain operations. A Supplier Collaboration Agent introduced in 2025 automated routine order-status inquiries with more than 600 suppliers, cutting backorders by 25%. The rollout sits alongside more than $3.5 billion the company has invested in U.S. manufacturing since 2016.
