Mastercard Reshuffles Senior Leadership to Deepen Its Bench

1 reports · First detected 2026-06-03 · Last active 2026-06-03

Mastercard is a global payments network operating across more than 200 countries and territories. As digital payments, stablecoins and commercial payment services expand, the company needs to better coordinate customer demand, products and sales execution across markets. The reorganization does not involve an asset transaction, and no transaction value was disclosed. Its focus is on strengthening the succession pipeline and coordination across global operations.

Mastercard announced the leadership changes on June 2, 2026, with effect from August 3. Ling Hai, president of Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will become chief financial officer. Sachin Mehra, CFO since 2019, will move into the newly created role of chief commercial officer, overseeing country operations worldwide, sales enablement, global partnerships and digital commercialization.
