Polymarket Acquires DeFi Platform Brahma to Expand Blockchain Trading Infrastructure
Polymarket is a prediction market that uses blockchain to settle event contracts covering politics, sports and finance. Brahma, a DeFi infrastructure provider founded in 2021, specializes in real-time execution and settlement for high-frequency digital-asset trading. The integration is expected to streamline wallet creation, deposits and token redemptions while adding liquidity to lower-volume markets.
Polymarket announced its acquisition of Brahma on March 18, 2026, and confirmed the deal’s completion on April 8. Financial terms were not disclosed. Brahma has processed more than $1 billion in trading volume and exceeded $100 million in total value locked. Its team and real-time execution and settlement technology will be integrated into Polymarket. Brahma’s products will be phased out within 30 days of the announcement, requiring users to migrate their funds and positions.
