Nan Shan Life Unveils Five-Pillar Health and Nature Strategy
Nan Shan Life Insurance is broadening its sustainability agenda beyond conventional insurance protection and carbon management, positioning itself as a leader in sustainable health. The Taiwanese insurer uses health apps and wellness-linked policies to encourage preventive care and healthier behavior among policyholders. Its strategy also reflects a wider shift in financial services, where aging populations, climate change and ecosystem degradation are increasingly treated as interconnected business and underwriting risks.
Nan Shan Life released its 2025 sustainability report, the 13th such publication by the company, detailing five areas of health-focused development and their extension into environmental stewardship. The insurer said it is continuing to promote preventive medicine through digital health services and wellness-linked products. It has also adopted the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures, or TNFD, framework to identify nature-related risks and opportunities and incorporate ecosystem considerations into corporate strategy, investment decisions and governance.
